Transaction Monitoring Analyst – BUK

About the role

The Transaction Monitoring Analyst – BUK will support Barclays' Banking Operations by conducting thorough due‑diligence, monitoring transactions for suspicious activity, and ensuring compliance with AML and regulatory requirements. The role is based in Pune and focuses on protecting the organization and its clients through robust risk controls.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct transaction monitoring to identify suspicious activities and ensure AML compliance.
• Perform KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions, negative media and PEP checks to verify customer identities and assess risk.
• Support SAR investigations, reporting to the NCA, and maintain adherence to regulatory standards.
• Execute monitoring checks on customers, transactions and other activities, managing alerts and incidents.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align and improve Transaction Monitoring processes.
• Identify improvement areas, develop procedures, and contribute to projects enhancing efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience in AML and Transaction Monitoring, preferably across individual and business client types.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and interact with customer support teams.
• Strong written and spoken English proficiency.

Required skills

• AML expertise, including SAR handling.
• KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening, negative media and PEP checks.
• Transaction monitoring tools and techniques.
• Risk assessment and control implementation.
