Junior Manufacturing Officer

About the role

As a Junior Manufacturing Officer you will support Pfizer’s pharmaceutical production lines, ensuring that essential medicines are produced on schedule and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with experienced operators and supervisors to maintain smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to team deliverables and represent the work group in department meetings.
• Manage personal workflow, prioritize tasks, and assist less‑experienced colleagues.
• Execute assignments following established procedures, identify process improvements, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Provide direction and technical training to team members and share knowledge across work groups.
• Generate work orders, monitor equipment usage, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with cGMP and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with supervisors on investigations, process improvements, and reporting.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, High School Diploma or GED.
• 2‑5 years of experience in pharmaceutical solid‑dosage manufacturing.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Hands‑on experience operating critical machines such as blenders, compressors, granulators, coaters and blister packers.
• Setup, operation, troubleshooting, monitoring and maintenance of production equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with standard office software.
