Junior Custodian II/Floater – Nights

About the role

The Town of Natick’s Facilities Department is looking for a reliable Junior Custodian II/Floater to support night‑time custodial operations across multiple municipal buildings. This position provides flexible coverage for other custodial staff and assists with routine and emergency cleaning, event support, and light maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, waxing, carpet and window cleaning, dusting, polishing, and waste removal.
• Execute light and preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, filter changes, light‑bulb replacement, and minor repairs.
• Support event set‑up and breakdown, ensuring facilities are clean and functional.
• Operate Building Management Systems (BMS) and work‑order software to log tasks and request services.
• Utilize Google Workspace for communication and documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of building equipment, including boiler operations.

Required profile

• Dedicated, dependable self‑starter with a strong work ethic.
• Flexible to work across various facilities and adapt to changing schedules.
• Ability to lead Junior Custodian I staff and temporary or part‑time employees when required.

Required skills

• Experience operating Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive).
