Java Developer (Team Lead)

About the role

Synechron is looking for an experienced Java Developer in Bengaluru to lead a team of developers in designing, developing and maintaining high-quality Java-based applications and systems. The role drives technological innovation and delivers scalable solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers to deliver software on time and to a high standard.
• Develop, test and maintain robust Java applications and systems, and design scalable solutions using best practices and architectural patterns.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and development plans.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts and QA teams, and conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Drive continuous improvement, monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Take part in sprint planning, stand-ups and review meetings, and ensure timely deployment and routine system maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java application development.
• Proven track record of leading development teams and delivering enterprise-scale Java solutions.
• Demonstrated experience with microservices architecture and cloud integrations.
• Experience in finance, healthcare or technology is preferred; alternative candidates with strong hands-on experience and certifications will be considered.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field; advanced Java certifications are preferred.

• CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum (preferred)
