Android Engineer – AI Integration

About the role

Synechron is looking for an Android Engineer in Bengaluru to build scalable, high-performing Android apps and AI-powered mobile features using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and a modular architecture. The role covers feature development, performance tuning, crash troubleshooting and close collaboration with product, design, backend, QA and security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain Android applications.
• Build modular, maintainable features with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Integrate LLM APIs and develop AI-powered mobile functionality.
• Optimize performance, memory, startup time and Gradle builds.
• Troubleshoot crashes, ANRs, memory leaks and production issues.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, QA and security teams.
• Contribute to architecture, code reviews, documentation and technical standards.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and multi-module applications.
• Experience with performance optimization, memory profiling, Crashlytics and ANR troubleshooting.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs and building AI-powered features.
• Enterprise or large-scale mobile app experience preferred; equivalent practical experience or a strong portfolio may be considered.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
