ITI Trade Apprenticeship – Diesel Mechanics, Electrician, Plumber

About the role

Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL) is offering a one‑year apprenticeship program for ITI certificate holders in selected trades. The program follows the Apprentices Act 1961 and provides hands‑on training at the shipyard in Malpe, Karnataka.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in daily maintenance and repair tasks.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training for diesel engines, bench fitting, instrument mechanics, electrical systems, and plumbing.
• Learn safety procedures and quality standards specific to shipyard operations.
• Document work performed and report progress to supervisors.

Required profile

• ITI (National Trade Certificate) in Diesel Mechanics, Bench Fitting, Instrument Mechanics, Electrician or Plumber.
• Minimum age of 18 years as of 18‑05‑2026.
• Domicile of Karnataka.
• No prior apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act 1961.
