Mechanical Engineer – Valve Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead valve projects for a client in Manipal. The role involves managing end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring quality compliance, and coordinating with both Indian suppliers and a Spain‑based engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Review client specifications, datasheets and drawings; track scope, timelines and technical deliverables for valve projects.
• Plan and execute QA/QC activities, including material and dimensional verification, hydrostatic, seat‑leakage and functional testing, and handling non‑conformances.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as MTCs, ITPs, QAPs, test reports, GA drawings, datasheets, IOM manuals and final data books.
• Liaise with Indian suppliers, fabricators and foundries for technical clarifications, quality issues and corrective actions.
• Interface with Spain‑based engineering and commercial teams, translating customer requirements into clear internal instructions.
• Support compliance with applicable standards (API, ANSI/ASME, EN/DIN, ISO).

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or Production/Industrial Engineering).
• 4–7 years of experience with industrial valves in manufacturing, QA/QC, design or project engineering.
• Strong spoken and written English for daily communication with a European team.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T.

Required skills

• Knowledge of valve types (butterfly, gate, ball, check, control) and their construction.
• QA/QC inspection planning and execution.
• Hydrostatic, seat‑leakage and functional testing.
• Technical documentation preparation (MTC, ITP, QAP, test reports, data books).
• Compliance with API, ANSI/ASME, EN/DIN and ISO standards.
• Application of GD&T on engineering drawings.
