Industrial Electrician – Mining & Metals Plant

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our mining and metals plant in Nawai. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on the installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems that keep our production lines running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Install, wire, and commission electrical panels, equipment, and distribution systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive checks on plant machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, PPE requirements, and company procedures.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on breakdown response and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Technical certification or diploma in Electrical Trade or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience as an industrial or plant electrician, preferably in mining, metals or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and safe work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and work instructions.
• Physical capability to work in an industrial environment, including standing for long periods and handling tools.
