Industrial Electrician – Manufacturing Plant

About the role

The company is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Electrician to support its food production facility in Anna Nagar West, Chennai. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems that keep the plant’s machinery running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Install, wire, and commission electrical panels, distribution boards and plant equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance and fault identification to minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical failures on production machinery.
• Ensure all work complies with industrial safety standards and company SOPs.
• Coordinate with maintenance and production teams for timely issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and support continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and safe work practices.
• Hands‑on experience with installation, wiring and panel work in an industrial setting.
• Familiarity with food or FMCG manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Relevant ITI/Diploma in Electrical or equivalent qualification.
• Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail and willingness to work shifts when required.
