Maintenance Analyst

About the role

The Maintenance Analyst will support Asset Management at APM Terminals Pipavav by analysing historic breakdowns, planned and corrective maintenance data, and providing actionable insights to improve equipment availability, reliability and reduce total cost of ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and interpret engineering data to identify trends, anomalies and improvement opportunities.
• Develop models, simulations and KPI reports for local terminal asset maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, equipment managers and shift engineers to support projects and process optimisation.
• Ensure data quality in the CMMS system through regular reviews and data‑cleanse campaigns.
• Participate in safety audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in an engineering or analytical role, preferably in ports or terminals.
• Proven experience in maintenance planning, analysis and optimisation.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with engineering software tools such as CAD and MATLAB.
• Advanced data‑analysis skills using Excel and SQL.
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance management software (e.g., IFS10).
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen or related process‑improvement methodologies is a plus.
