Human Resources Manager

About the role

Puzzolana, a leading manufacturer of crushing and screening equipment, is looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead its human‑resource functions across the organisation. The role involves managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management and compliance for a heavy‑machinery and manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for technical, engineering, sales, service, manufacturing and corporate positions.
• Partner with department heads to develop hiring plans aligned with manpower needs.
• Oversee onboarding, induction, confirmations, transfers, promotions and exit formalities.
• Handle employee relations, grievance resolution, disciplinary actions and engagement initiatives.
• Support performance management, goal setting, appraisals and development programmes.
• Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs and maintain accurate employee records.
• Coordinate payroll inputs with finance and ensure timely processing.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements and company policies.
• Monitor HR metrics, prepare reports and recommend improvements.
• Plan employee engagement, retention, training and organisational development activities.

Required profile

• MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
• 6–7 years of HR experience, preferably in heavy machinery, mining equipment, engineering, automotive or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HR operations and statutory compliance.
• Proven experience hiring technical and engineering professionals.
• Good understanding of labour laws and industry‑specific HR practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with senior management.
