Global Markets Lawyer (5-12 years PQE) – Mumbai

About the role

This client‑facing position is based in Mumbai and focuses on global markets documentation and commercial contracts. The role supports the firm’s wealth and investment businesses across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Handle contracts, debt/notes issuance and financial markets documentation for a leading global financial services group.
• Draft, review and negotiate credit, rates, FX and prime brokerage agreements.
• Provide regulatory compliance advice and research‑driven contract support.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders across APAC, EMEA and the US.

Required profile

• Law degree from a recognised institution.
• 5‑12 years post‑qualification experience in investment banking, capital markets or financial services legal functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Legal drafting and contract negotiation.
• Knowledge of credit, rates, FX and prime brokerage agreements.
• Regulatory compliance in financial services.
• Stakeholder management across regions.
