Geotechnical Engineer – Urban Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to lead and manage geotechnical investigations, analysis and design support for the Amaravati urban infrastructure project in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The role ensures safe, cost‑effective solutions that comply with all relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and review geotechnical investigations including boreholes, field and laboratory testing.
• Interpret soil and rock data and produce detailed investigation reports.
• Design and review shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, embankments, slopes and ground improvement works.
• Provide technical input during design development and construction phases.
• Review contractor submissions for compliance with project specifications and codes.
• Identify geotechnical risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with structural, utility, transportation and other multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with an M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in urban infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical design standards and relevant analysis software.

Required skills

• Geotechnical investigation techniques (boreholes, field and lab testing).
• Soil and rock data interpretation.
• Foundation design (shallow and deep).
• Retaining structure design.
• Embankment and slope stability design.
• Ground improvement design.
