Freelance SEO Manager (10+ years experience)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Freelance SEO Manager to support our agency clients through a dedicated or white‑label delivery model. The role involves leading SEO strategy, conducting full audits, guiding execution teams, and driving organic visibility, traffic, rankings, and conversions across multiple websites.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage SEO strategies for several client sites.
• Perform comprehensive SEO audits covering technical, on‑page, content, off‑page, local SEO, GA4 and tracking.
• Review keyword research, competitor analysis, content and backlink gaps.
• Guide on‑page optimisation, internal linking, schema, and site structure improvements.
• Supervise off‑page activities, including backlink analysis, link‑building, citations and outreach.
• Collaborate with content teams to create SEO‑friendly briefs and improve website copy, blogs and landing pages.
• Monitor performance using GA4, Google Search Console, Looker Studio and other SEO tools.
• Produce clear SEO reports with insights, progress updates and next‑step recommendations.
• Coordinate with developers, writers, SEO executives and internal teams for seamless execution.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance research, content planning, reporting and productivity while ensuring human‑quality output.

Required profile

• 10+ years of hands‑on SEO experience.
• Strong expertise in technical, on‑page, off‑page, content and local SEO.
• Proven ability to conduct independent, end‑to‑end SEO audits.
• Deep understanding of keyword research, search intent, competitor analysis and backlink strategies.
• Experience creating and reviewing SEO content briefs and optimisation plans.
• Hands‑on experience with GA4 reporting, funnel analysis and performance tracking.
• Excellent leadership, communication and team‑coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced agency environment.
