Forward Deployed AI Strategist – Chennai

About the role

As a Forward Deployed AI Strategist, you will serve as the lead technical strategist embedded with our customers. You’ll own the end‑to‑end design of AI‑driven business transformation projects, from understanding domain‑specific needs to architecting scalable agent‑based solutions using DevRev’s platform.

Key responsibilities

• Deeply understand customer business domains, systems, and OKRs/KPIs to guide solution design.
• Design and document AI‑driven workflows, agents, skills, and system integrations that align with customer goals.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, building strong partnerships with customer stakeholders.
• Bridge pre‑sales, customer success, and engineering teams to ensure actionable requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Architect modular, reusable solutions that can be extended across customers and verticals.
• Collaborate with Applied AI engineers to oversee implementation and ensure architectural alignment.
• Support sales engineers in scoping opportunities, defining technical requirements, and assessing feasibility.
• Stay ahead of emerging AI, integration, and business transformation trends and incorporate insights into designs.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in solution architecture or consulting, focused on enterprise‑scale software implementations.
• Hands‑on experience with generative AI tools and major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate customer priorities into technical execution plans.
• Design‑thinking mindset and proven ability to craft scalable, future‑proof architectures.
• Exceptional communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in project planning tools and methodologies, managing multiple solution tracks.
• Track record of defining and tracking success through OKRs, KPIs, and tangible business outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications (TOGAF, SAFe) a plus.
