About the role

The Food & Beverage Service Associate will deliver professional service to guests at Grand Mercure Bengaluru, ensuring a memorable dining experience that meets the hotel’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide attentive, courteous service in line with brand standards.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly.
• Coordinate with all hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Manage financial aspects by using resources efficiently and minimizing waste.
• Set up and inspect service equipment, linen, and condiments before each service.
• Clear and reset tables quickly, ensuring readiness for the next guests.
• Take orders, advise on menu specials, and maintain familiarity with all menu items.
• Report equipment issues, emergencies, or security concerns to the F&B Team Leader.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in Food & Beverage service, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts and extended hours as needed.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work in a team environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Ability to operate basic service equipment and handle POS transactions.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
