Fleet Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Join Alstom’s rail engineering team as a Fleet Maintenance Engineer, where you will ensure the reliability, safety and efficiency of our maintenance operations. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to manage documentation, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and update all maintenance documentation to ensure completeness and consistency.
• Verify compliance with contracts, regulations and industry standards.
• Monitor reliability KPIs and support improvement initiatives through FRACAS activities.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide technical justifications for optimisation proposals.
• Identify and manage safety‑related items and risks during maintenance tasks.
• Support obsolescence management, troubleshooting and return‑of‑experience reporting.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 1‑3 years of experience in railway or rolling‑stock activities.
• Knowledge of rolling‑stock equipment and safety management systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office, SAP and Business Intelligence tools (BI/BO).
• Strong problem‑solving, RAMS and organisational skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills and fluency in English.
