Financial Controller

About the role

Frido is seeking a highly detail‑oriented Financial Controller to own and strengthen the company’s accounting foundation. This pure‑play accounting role focuses on financial control, compliance, reporting accuracy, audits, and process governance within a fast‑paced D2C or consumer brand environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end accounting operations across the organization.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial closures.
• Ensure accurate bookkeeping, ledger scrutiny and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accruals, provisions and reconciliations.
• Maintain compliance with GST, TDS, ROC and other statutory requirements.
• Lead internal, statutory and tax audits from start to finish.
• Strengthen financial controls, SOPs and accounting governance.
• Drive accounting process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, consultants and regulatory bodies.
• Keep books audit‑ready and ensure complete financial accuracy at all times.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in accounting and financial control.
• Strong expertise in accounting standards, taxation and compliance.
• Prior experience in D2C, retail, consumer or manufacturing businesses preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Zoho or Oracle.
• Deep understanding of high‑volume transaction environments.
• Extremely detail‑oriented with high ownership and accountability.
