Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A Analyst)

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A Analyst) to join our global client’s finance team in Pune. The role focuses on analyzing financial data, preparing forecasts, and supporting strategic decision‑making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret performance trends, delivering accurate and timely reporting that drives actionable business responses.
• Analyse key drivers of business performance, conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis, revise projections, and prepare forward‑looking insights and scenarios.
• Drive planning processes for target setting, deployment, forecasting, and support the long‑term strategic plan.
• Partner with business leaders to provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision‑making issues affecting performance.
• Perform management accounting efficiently and support the monthly/quarterly close process.
• Manage risk‑related aspects, including regulatory impacts, to ensure the business is well positioned.
• Collaborate with IT to digitalise, automate processes, and enhance self‑service reporting using SAC.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification or a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial financial planning and analysis, management accounting, or related roles, demonstrating strong performance analysis, forecasting, and reporting skills.
