Vice President Finance

About the role

Amber is the world’s largest student accommodation marketplace, connecting students with long‑term housing across more than 800 universities. As Vice President Finance, you will act as the CFO‑equivalent, owning the full finance function for a fast‑growing, multi‑country business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic finance and FP&A: own the annual operating plan, long‑range model, monthly forecast and unit‑economics analysis.
• Partner with Growth, Supply and Product on pricing, commission structures and market entry decisions.
• Drive capital allocation, evaluate M&A opportunities and manage the end‑to‑end fundraising process.
• Prepare board packs, quarterly investor updates and maintain relationships with existing investors.
• Oversee controllership, tax and global structuring across multiple entities, currencies and jurisdictions.
• Manage treasury functions, cash‑flow, FX exposure and payment rails.
• Lead, develop and expand the finance team across FP&A, controllership and accounting.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of experience, including at least 4 years leading a finance team.
• Proven track record in high‑growth environments and corporate finance.
• Strong experience in fundraising, investor relations and M&A diligence.
• Deep knowledge of direct and indirect tax compliance, multi‑entity and multi‑currency operations.
• Excellent analytical ability and comfort building and defending financial models.
