Financial Analyst III – Accounts Payable

About the role

The Financial Analyst III – Accounts Payable will lead the month‑end accounting cycle for Amazon’s global finance operations in Bangalore. Reporting to the Global Functional Lead, the analyst ensures that accounting processes meet Amazon’s high standards of customer obsession, delivery, and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full month‑end close for Accounts Payable, including posting journal entries and preparing reporting decks.
• Prepare and review global general‑ledger account reconciliations and conduct variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain financial and operational dashboards to monitor the quality of controls.
• Partner with Central Accounting, Finance Operations and Global Finance teams to drive process improvements and achieve the annual operating plan.
• Lead special projects, strategic initiatives and ad‑hoc reporting requests.
• Ensure financial policies, procedures and internal controls are documented, communicated and followed.
• Support hiring, onboarding and training priorities for the finance team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in month‑end accounting, journal entry processing and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to produce variance analysis and actionable insights.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate processes and work effectively in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
• Excellent collaboration skills to partner with operations, accounting and leadership teams.
