Finance Transformation Leader – Controllership & AI

About the role

Join Cisco's Global CCG Shared Services team as a Finance Transformation Leader. You will drive Controllership and Record‑to‑Report (R2R) excellence across multiple legal entities while championing AI‑enabled automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and optimize month‑end and quarter‑end close processes for global entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and internal accounting policies, maintaining strong controls and audit readiness.
• Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition expertise to guarantee accurate revenue accounting.
• Manage and mentor a high‑performing finance team, set KPIs, and support career development.
• Partner with Finance, IT, Transformation and Business stakeholders to deliver strategic finance initiatives.
• Identify reconciliation gaps, investigate variances and implement corrective actions.
• Drive finance transformation by leveraging AI, Machine Learning, RPA and digital technologies to automate manual processes.
• Measure and communicate automation benefits, including productivity gains and ROI.
• Support continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; CA, CPA, CWA or CGMA preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with 3+ years in people leadership.
• Deep expertise in Record‑to‑Report, month/quarter close, financial reconciliation, US GAAP, SOX and internal controls.
• Proven experience managing finance operations across multiple legal entities.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to independently lead complex, cross‑functional finance initiatives.
