Finance Controller (Chartered Accountant)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to lead financial management for two fast‑growing entities. This senior position will own end‑to‑end accounting, compliance, budgeting and financial strategy, ensuring robust systems and controls across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete books of accounts, prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and consolidate results across entities.
• Ensure timely statutory compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax and ROC filings; coordinate audits and maintain a zero‑default compliance calendar.
• Drive annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and cost‑optimization initiatives, providing variance analysis and actionable insights.
• Manage working capital, cash flow planning, treasury operations and banking relationships, implementing strong internal controls.
• Partner with the founder and leadership team on business decisions, expansion plans, investment evaluation and fundraising support.
• Build and mentor a small finance/accounts team as the business scales.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑qualification experience in financial accounting, controllership or a similar finance leadership role.
• Experience handling multi‑entity or group finance, preferably in the fleet/transportation sector.
• Strong knowledge of Indian statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, Ind AS/GAAP).
