Facility Operations Manager

About the role

Saab is expanding its manufacturing footprint in India and seeks a Facility Operations Manager for its Jhajjar plant. You will ensure the campus remains safe, reliable, and efficient by overseeing fire protection, power, energy, and MEP systems while supporting production continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for mechanical and electrical services.
• Maintain fire protection systems (fire panels, smoke/heat detectors, sprinklers, pumps) in line with NFPA standards.
• Ensure emergency generators and power systems are operational at all times.
• Oversee energy management systems, utility meters, network control modules (NCMs), network integration engines (NIEs), and network automation engines (Nes).
• Manage solar electricity, electric vehicle charging, material handling equipment, and all MEP systems (HT/LT, HVAC, water, fire).
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance for production lines, air‑conditioning, gensets, water‑treatment plant, and other critical equipment.
• Control the ANDON system, monitor purchase orders, approve invoices, and manage the department budget.
• Provide training, performance reviews, and development for maintenance personnel.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facility or plant operations management.
• Strong knowledge of fire protection, power backup, and energy management standards.
• Ability to develop SOPs, manage budgets, and lead maintenance teams.
