Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads all housekeeping operations at Merlis Hotels Coimbatore, ensuring guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces are consistently clean, well‑maintained and presented to the highest standards. This full‑time, on‑site position coordinates a team of housekeeping and laundry staff, manages inventory and supports the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule housekeeping and laundry personnel, assigning daily tasks and monitoring performance.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors and public areas to verify compliance with hotel cleanliness standards.
• Maintain inventory of linens, cleaning supplies and amenities, placing orders as needed.
• Develop and deliver training on cleaning procedures, safety protocols and guest service.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and service issues, collaborating with other departments to ensure room readiness.
• Keep accurate housekeeping records, schedules and reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising hotel housekeeping or a similar hospitality role.
• Strong communication and customer‑service abilities for interacting with guests and internal teams.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing schedules, inventories and documentation.
• Leadership qualities to coach, motivate and develop staff.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and varied shifts as required.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills for using hotel management or housekeeping software.
• Familiarity with hotel management software.
