Equipment Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Equipment Engineer to lead preventive maintenance and continuous improvement of key manufacturing equipment such as ball‑attach, die‑attach, vacuum ovens and front‑of‑line (FOL) systems. The role supports NPI set‑up, equipment upgrades and ensures high equipment availability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities to meet MTBA, OEE, MTBF and MTTR targets.
• Update PM documentation and checklists based on lessons learned from major downtimes.
• Support NPI projects, equipment installation, upgrades, modifications and continuous improvement.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and process mapping for line quality issues, implement containment actions and report findings.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, issue stock items and trigger purchases for critical parts.
• Maintain equipment wiring, ensure 5S standards in the process area, and handle equipment calibration.
• Act as the ERT shift representative, communicate PM shift hand‑overs and follow OCAP guidelines.
• Prepare detailed technical reports (8D) on equipment and product failures and coach the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with ball‑attach, die‑attach, vacuum ovens and FOL equipment.
• Proven ability to lead a maintenance group and drive downtime reduction.
• Excellent analytical skills for root‑cause analysis and technical reporting.
• Experience in coaching and delivering L1‑L5 equipment training.
