Engineer, Product Design

About the role

We are seeking a Product Design Engineer to develop plastic and sheet‑metal components for signal connectors used in consumer applications. The role involves supporting new product development, product maintenance, and special projects while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive development of new and legacy signal products, working closely with supervisors on design modifications.
• Lead the Product Development Process (PDP) and coordinate with product management, engineering, manufacturing, and applications.
• Translate customer needs and Voice of Customer (VOC) into design goals and specifications.
• Conduct and participate in conceptual, DFM, DFMEA/PFMEA, design, and phase‑gate reviews.
• Create detailed CAD models, drawings, specifications, and test documentation.
• Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and liaise with global manufacturing plants.
• Perform signal‑integrity and thermal‑performance analyses.
• Utilize advanced CAD tools (NX/ECTR), SAP, and presentation/analytics tools for decision support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E) with at least 3 years of product development experience.
• Proficiency in NX and Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of connector design, manufacturing processes, and product development methodologies.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of working independently.
