Controls Engineer – Industrial Automation

About the role

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking a Controls Engineer to lead the adaptation of its controls and optimisation portfolio for industrial plant environments. The role focuses on heating, cooling, water‑transfer and high‑pressure systems across sectors such as metals, mining, cement, food & beverage, oil & gas, chemicals and power generation.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, adapt and develop Armstrong Industrial controls for industrial‑grade heating, cooling, water‑transfer and high‑pressure applications.
• Define and enforce the Performance Demonstration Matrix, establishing baseline measurements for energy, water and carbon per ton of output and ensuring real‑time post‑installation reporting.
• Provide technical authority on PLC and SCADA integration, specifying communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, ProfiNet, Ethernet/IP, OPC‑UA) and ensuring compliance with industrial safety and automation standards.
