Electrician – Level II

About the role

The Electrician – Level II is responsible for maintaining and supporting electrical systems, CNC machines, PLC‑controlled equipment, and factory automation within a manufacturing environment. Working with limited supervision, the role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve control system issues on CNC machines, PLC‑controlled systems, and automation equipment.
• Interpret electrical diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and technical specifications to complete work accurately.
• Analyze equipment downtime, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve uptime.
• Support manufacturing operations by scheduling maintenance around production needs and participating in TPM activities.
• Apply quality standards, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to Cummins health, safety, and environmental policies, using appropriate PPE and safe work practices.
