Electrical Engineer – CBM

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer specialized in Condition‑Based Maintenance (CBM) to ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment at well sites, gathering stations and compressor stations within the oil & gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain 11 kV gas‑engine generators and associated 11 kV/1.1 kV distribution networks, including underground cables, package substations and switchgear.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all plant assets, record history sheets and prepare maintenance schedules (daily, monthly, quarterly).
• Manage spare‑parts consumption, prepare requisitions, coordinate with vendors and ensure timely receipt and GRN processing.
• Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP) for all electrical jobs.
• Monitor 24 × 7 operations of gas engines and related equipment, identify long‑term shutdown jobs and plan execution.
• Track maintenance performance, ensure compliance with environmental regulations and resolve safety audit observations.
• Liaise with Electrical Lead, Installation Manager and cross‑functional teams (operations, drilling, land acquisition, security).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in electrical operations and maintenance on oil & gas production projects.
• Experience with high‑voltage (HT) and low‑voltage (LT) transmission systems, transformers, PT/CT, VCB/ACB, substations, motors, UPS, battery banks and generators up to 1 MW.

• High‑voltage (11 kV) and low‑voltage (1.1 kV) system maintenance.
• Power generation equipment (gas‑engine generators, diesel generators).
• Substation equipment operation (VCB/ACB, transformers, bus ducts, synchronisation panels).
• UPS, battery bank and VFD management.
• Spare‑parts inventory control and procurement.
• Lockout/Tagout procedures and work‑permit systems.
• SAP PM/MM module usage.
