Duty Manager – Facilities & Maintenance

About the role

The Duty Manager oversees daily operations of building utilities, maintenance teams and service contractors to ensure all facilities run smoothly. Reporting to the General Manager or Assistant GM, the role coordinates activities across multiple blocks, monitors utility consumption, and handles emergency situations.

Key responsibilities

• Verify completion of previous‑day tasks and utility consumption reports.
• Brief GM/AGM on daily performance and receive instructions for planned activities.
• Deploy and supervise JLL, security, pest control, and food‑court teams.
• Inspect utility areas (LT panels, HT yard, fire‑pump rooms, basements, etc.) and confirm operational status of STP, WTP, pumps and storm‑water systems.
• Monitor water vendor contracts, update related documentation, and ensure service‑road conditions.
• Visit fit‑out sites to enforce safety standards and debris removal.
• Review and close work orders, supervise engineers, and coordinate with external contractors.
• Oversee building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, lifts, CCTV and diesel generators.
• Prepare shift schedules, manage preventive‑maintenance calendars, and respond to emergencies promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities or building‑operations management.
• Strong coordination skills with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to lead maintenance teams, conduct inspections and enforce safety protocols.
