Director, Software Engineering

About the role

The Director, Software Engineering will lead the transformation of digital marketing capabilities through innovative AI solutions, providing thought leadership and aligning business objectives with cutting‑edge technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the strategic vision for integrating AI into technology offerings.
• Lead client and internal engagements to understand business challenges and architect AI‑powered solutions.
• Partner with leadership teams to develop technical strategies and solution architectures.
• Guide teams through architecture, design, and technical decisions, including hands‑on contribution.
• Develop architectural frameworks, procedures, and standards for AI‑driven solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to architects, engineering managers, and senior talent.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape platform roadmaps.
• Foster innovation through proofs‑of‑concept, pilots, and research initiatives.
• Lead the Technology Chapter – hiring, capability development, engineering standards, and succession planning.

Required profile

• 14+ years of technology leadership experience with a proven record of leading complex enterprise solution architecture.
• Strong ability to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions and drive organizational change.
• Deep practical knowledge of modern AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, vector databases, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern engineering practices such as microservices and containerization.
• Experience building and leading engineering and architecture teams, mentoring technical talent, and establishing engineering standards.
