Director of Spa & Wellness

About the role

The Director of Spa & Wellness leads all aspects of the spa operation, overseeing programs, services, facilities and staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Reporting to senior management, this role is responsible for driving revenue, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and ensuring financial performance aligns with corporate goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day spa operations, including salon, skin‑care, fitness, massage, reservations and locker rooms.
• Develop and control budgets, monitor actual vs. projected sales, and ensure revenue targets are met.
• Select vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee retail product research, purchasing, display and inventory control.
• Design and implement marketing initiatives, group gifting programs, special promotions and co‑op campaigns.
• Negotiate spa contract addenda and integrate spa services into property‑wide advertising.
• Oversee payroll, controllable expenses such as amenities, linens, salon products and supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of all spa areas and equipment.
• Lead a culture of outstanding customer service, empowering staff to exceed guest expectations.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field + 4 years relevant experience, or 4‑year bachelor’s degree + 2 years experience.
• Proven experience in spa operations, guest services, front‑desk, sales or marketing within a hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
