Director of Operations – Hotel Management

About the role

The Director of Operations leads the strategic direction of hotel operations, overseeing key departments such as Front Office, Recreation/Health Club, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures that brand standards are met, guest satisfaction is maximized, and financial performance is optimized.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute property‑wide operational strategies aligned with brand objectives and financial targets.
• Monitor profitability, analyze service trends, and make data‑driven decisions to achieve revenue and expense goals.
• Lead department heads, fostering collaboration and clear communication of goals across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Recreation.
• Review guest feedback, address complaints, and maintain a visible presence to ensure service excellence.
• Oversee human‑resources activities, including staff briefings, performance coaching, and equitable treatment of employees.
• Prepare and evaluate financial reports, budgets, and wage progress to control costs and improve margins.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in full‑service hotel operations.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to interpret budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage guests, staff, and owners.
• Strategic thinker capable of translating brand standards into actionable departmental plans.
• Track record of driving revenue growth while maintaining high guest satisfaction scores.
