Director of Engineering – AI & Full-Stack SaaS

About the role

We are looking for a Director of Engineering – AI & Full‑Stack SaaS to lead the engineering strategy and execution for a highly scalable, enterprise‑grade SaaS platform. The role suits a strong engineering leader with deep software expertise, enterprise SaaS experience, cloud‑native architecture, full‑stack product development, and practical AI/GenAI adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams delivering enterprise SaaS products.
• Define and execute engineering strategy, technical roadmap, architecture and development standards.
• Drive development of highly scalable, secure, reliable, cloud‑native SaaS applications across backend, frontend, APIs and microservices.
• Promote AI/GenAI adoption throughout the development lifecycle, including testing, code quality and automation.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, DevOps, Security and other cross‑functional teams to deliver critical capabilities.

Required profile

• 15+ years of software/product engineering experience with significant engineering leadership roles.
• Proven track record leading large or multi‑team engineering organizations in enterprise SaaS.
• Strong background in full‑stack development, microservices and cloud‑native architectures.
• Excellent people leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Java and Spring Boot (or comparable enterprise backend technologies).
• Microservices, APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Modern frontend technologies and full‑stack development practices.
• DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Practical AI/GenAI tools, LLMs and generative AI integration.
