Data Engineering Manager – mCDP (Hyderabad)

About the role

McDonald’s is seeking a seasoned Data Engineering Manager to lead the development, integration, and operational execution of its Marketer Customer Data Platform (mCDP). This individual contributor role focuses on rapid, high‑quality technical delivery, acting as a subject‑matter expert across the CDP ecosystem and Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and deploy scalable real‑time and batch data pipelines linking mParticle with downstream marketing platforms and data warehouses.
• Build and manage CDP integration patterns, secure webhook endpoints, and event‑forwarding rules.
• Create, optimize, and reconcile user audiences, traits, and segment logic within the CDP.
• Design, configure, and maintain robust GCP infrastructure using BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GCS, and Terraform.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., New Relic, OpenTelemetry) to ensure platform uptime and data hygiene.
• Maintain clean, version‑controlled codebases and participate in design reviews and Agile sprint delivery.

Required profile

• Hands‑on “doer” who writes code, configures systems, and delivers production‑ready integrations independently.
• CDP operations specialist with deep experience configuring user traits, data schemas, inbound/outbound integrations, and audience management (preferably mParticle).
• GCP infrastructure practitioner capable of designing and operating cloud‑native data pipelines and resources.
