Senior Mobile Developer (React Native)

About the role

SS&C is seeking a Senior Mobile Developer to join a collaborative scrum team focused on a white‑label mobile application serving clients across the APAC region. You will shape the client experience by delivering high‑quality mobile features and driving engineering excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver polished mobile features, from coding and optimization to automation, while adhering to architectural and performance standards.
• Collaborate with the team to plan, estimate, and deliver work through backlog grooming, sprint execution, and production releases.
• Support uplift in development practices, CI/CD automation, and AI capabilities across the team.
• Foster a positive, collaborative environment to deliver robust, scalable, and pragmatic solutions.
• Champion strong engineering practices, manage technical debt, and guide the team’s technical direction.
• Take shared responsibility for production health, including deployments, monitoring, and ongoing support of delivered features.
• Identify and resolve technical risks, escalating blockers appropriately.
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge to build overall team capability.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification/degree in computer science.
• Minimum 5+ years of software engineering experience as a mobile developer.
• Experience building and delivering mobile applications using React Native or native iOS/Android with modern web frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in the React Native ecosystem, including Redux, hooks, and component lifecycle management.
• Experience with frontend development using React and/or Angular with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Understanding of backend services, RESTful APIs, and Service‑Oriented Architectures.
• Proficiency in testing practices such as Jest, unit testing, and TDD/BDD.
• Experience with secure coding practices and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and DevOps tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Android Studio and Xcode, and knowledge of mobile accessibility standards.
