Data Engineer II – Trustworthy Shopping Experience Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a creative, dynamic and motivated Data Engineer to join the Trustworthy Shopping Experience (TSE) Operations team. The team protects customer trust on Amazon’s stores worldwide by using statistical analysis and building data pipelines to detect abusive actors.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement next‑generation data pipelines and BI solutions.
• Manage AWS resources such as EC2, RDS, Redshift, Kinesis, EMR, Lambda, Glue, and Apache Airflow.
• Build high‑quality data architecture to support analysts, data scientists, and reporting needs.
• Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources and continuously improve reporting processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one modern programming language (Java, Scala, or Python).
• Knowledge of distributed systems for data storage and computing.

Required skills

• AWS services (Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda, IAM).
• Non‑relational databases or data stores (object storage, document, key‑value, graph, column‑family).
• Software engineering best practices: coding standards, source control, CI/CD, testing, operational excellence.
