Systems Administrator – Infrastructure (Hybrid)

About the role

The company is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage and optimise its on‑premise and cloud infrastructure. Working in a hybrid schedule, you will be responsible for Windows, Linux and virtualised environments across VMware and Microsoft Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain virtual server environments on VMware and Azure, including host and guest management, health monitoring and fault resolution.
• Manage Azure cloud services, capacity monitoring, configuration and cost‑efficient operation.
• Maintain Cisco and Aruba network switching and wireless infrastructure, including firmware updates.
• Oversee server and endpoint patching cycles, track completion and remediate any failures.
• Operate backup and recovery systems, investigate failures and ensure data recoverability.
• Handle vulnerability triage, remediation and reporting for servers and infrastructure.
• Maintain Active Directory and Entra ID health, policies and access governance.
• Log and execute all infrastructure changes through Jira Service Management following ITIL change control.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of systems and infrastructure administration experience in an enterprise setting.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Microsoft Azure and Active Directory/Entra ID.
• Proven ability to work independently, set priorities and deliver results without close supervision.
• Fluent written and spoken English with clear communication for non‑technical staff.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA, Microsoft AZ‑104, VMware VCP or CompTIA Security+ are desirable.
