Director of Cyber Security & Governance

About the role

We are looking for a strategic, business‑focused Director of Cyber Security & Governance to lead our cyber security, IT governance, risk and compliance function. As a senior member of the technology leadership team, you will strengthen the organisation’s cyber resilience, embed security into transformation initiatives and maintain a robust IT control environment across our FMCG operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a cyber security strategy aligned with business objectives and enterprise standards.
• Maintain a comprehensive cyber risk register, own the risk posture and drive remediation plans.
• Lead the IT Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) function, develop frameworks, policies and controls for ERP, cloud and SaaS environments.
• Oversee IT General Controls (ITGC) across enterprise applications and ensure continuous regulatory compliance.
• Act as primary liaison for internal and external audit, manage audit planning, readiness and remediation of findings.
• Embed security by design in software development, ERP implementations, cloud migrations, AI solutions and digital transformation projects.
• Collaborate with product, technology, infrastructure and data teams to integrate security requirements throughout project lifecycles.
• Establish and govern identity and access management processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading cyber security and GRC functions at an enterprise level.
• Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks, risk management and regulatory compliance in the FMCG sector.
• Demonstrated ability to work with executive leadership and influence security decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and experience coordinating with audit and risk teams.
