Director - North America Financial Control

About the role

Diageo is seeking a Director for North America Financial Control to lead financial reporting across all North American business units. The role sits within the Finance Leadership Team and reports to the Group Controller, providing both functional and people leadership in a matrix environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end financial reporting for North America, ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP and internal policies.
• Translate regional commercial agendas into accounting decisions and drive business‑impacting initiatives.
• Lead and develop a diverse finance team, including Demand FP&A, Finance Experience, Supply FP&A and other GBO sub‑functions.
• Collaborate with in‑market executive teams to align finance with strategic objectives.
• Oversee audit processes, SOX compliance, and risk assessments.
• Drive process improvement and manage cross‑border finance projects.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Minimum 18 years of experience in a multinational corporate setting.
• Proven in‑market business exposure and people‑management experience.
• Strong background in financial accounting, reporting and audit (internal/external, SOX).
• Experience with shared services, process optimisation and project management.
