Deputy Manager - Application Engineer (North Region)

About the role

The Deputy Manager – Application Engineer will lead application engineering activities for YEMI's industrial diesel engines across the North Region. You will work closely with OEMs, internal engineering teams, and customers to ensure technical feasibility, product validation, and successful engine deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct OEM meetings, review customer requirements and perform application studies.
• Lead cross‑functional design reviews, allocate project tasks, and track progress.
• Manage installation quality assurance and product validation (EIR) using various tools.
• Analyze engine test data received from customers and support PQC troubleshooting.
• Design new engine mounting, cooling, intake and exhaust systems for specific applications.
• Translate customer voice into technical specifications, prepare BOMs, prototype drawings, and oversee prototype build, testing and field validation.
• Provide technical support, prepare data sheets, certificates and ensure application sign‑off with customers.

Required profile

• Strong background in engine application engineering or related mechanical engineering field.
• Experience with product development cycles, prototype testing and validation.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent analytical skills for interpreting engine test data and failure analysis.

Required skills

• Product development tools such as DFMEA and DFS.
• Engine test data analysis and validation.
• Installation quality assurance and product validation (EIR).
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting of diesel engines, including calibration and endurance testing.
• Hands‑on experience with wiring harnesses, sensors and instrumentation.
• Preparation of test reports and failure analysis.
