Data Architect, Common Data Products

About the role

KONE IT Enterprise Data & Analytics is looking for a Data Architect to join the team in Pune, India. You will work on the Data Foundation platform built on Databricks on AWS, driving finance‑focused data products that enable AI/ML and digital use cases across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise end‑to‑end data architecture from ingestion (bronze) to business‑ready layers (gold) on the Databricks platform.
• Develop, document and catalogue finance‑related data products, ensuring reusability, quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with product owners, data engineers, global data owners, enterprise architects and data scientists to translate business needs into data pipelines.
• Identify architecture improvement opportunities, feed them into road‑maps and support incident handling related to data quality or flow.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, MIS or related field.
• 12‑15+ years of hands‑on experience in data architecture, modelling and engineering in an enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of finance processes and experience with SAP FI/CO or FSCM.
• Proven ability to produce clear documentation and visualise data pipelines and models.

Required skills

• Databricks data engineering and multi‑hop medallion architecture.
• AWS services: Glue, EMR, Athena, S3, IAM.
• SQL, Python programming.
• Data orchestration tools: Airflow, DBT.
• Big‑data processing: Spark, Apache Flink, Apache Kafka.
• Infrastructure as code: Terraform.
• Version control: Gitlab/GitHub.
• Unity Catalog, data security and privacy best practices.
