Dam Design Expert – International

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Dam Design Expert to lead the structural and hydraulic design of large‑scale dam projects. The role involves delivering feasibility studies, detailed engineering, and technical due diligence for complex dam structures while ensuring compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and review the structural and hydraulic design of concrete gravity, RCC, embankment, and arch dams.
• Conduct static and dynamic stability analyses, safety assessments, and seismic studies.
• Perform hydraulic design of spillways, outlets, and energy‑dissipation structures.
• Provide technical guidance during construction, including site inspections and quality assurance.
• Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders and clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and build local capacity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s or higher in Structural or Water Resources Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in dam planning, design, and construction supervision.
• Experience on at least five large dam projects, preferably with international exposure.
• Professional engineering registration preferred; additional dam‑safety or hydropower certifications desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with STAAD, SAP2000, PLAXIS, GeoStudio, and HEC‑RAS.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities for structural and hydraulic assessments.
• Excellent technical reporting and presentation skills.
