Cyber Security Engineer – L1/L2

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer (L1/L2) to protect our systems, networks and data from cyber threats. The role combines security monitoring, incident response and tool management to continuously improve the organisation’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real time.
• Investigate and resolve cybersecurity issues, performing root‑cause analysis.
• Support incident response activities, including containment and recovery.
• Manage and maintain security tools such as SIEM, EDR, IAM platforms and vulnerability scanners.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Administer user access controls, MFA, SSO and privileged access management.
• Fine‑tune detection rules to reduce false positives.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST and PCI DSS standards.
• Prepare security reports, dashboards and audit documentation.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance overall security posture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security.
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM (preferably Splunk), endpoint security tools, IAM solutions and vulnerability management platforms.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST and PCI DSS compliance frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, Microsoft Security or Azure certifications are a plus.
