Customer Service Teller

About the role

The Customer Service Teller will work on‑site in Kanpur, providing front‑line support to users of EventMadeEasy’s event planning platform. This full‑time position combines cash handling, payment processing and direct customer interaction to ensure a smooth booking experience.

Key responsibilities

• Handle cash, payment transactions and deposits accurately following company policies.
• Process bookings, refunds and other financial operations using the company’s point‑of‑sale/transaction software.
• Respond to customer inquiries in person and by phone, providing clear information on services, pricing and event details.
• Maintain detailed transaction records and ensure reconciliation of daily teller activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment‑related issues and support overall event planning workflow.

Required profile

• Strong experience in teller operations, cash handling and deposit management.
• Effective communication and customer‑service abilities.
• High attention to detail, reliability and integrity when handling financial data.
• Basic proficiency with computers and point‑of‑sale or transaction software.
• Prior experience as a teller, cashier or similar customer‑facing financial role is preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kanpur and collaborate with a diverse team.
• Minimum high school diploma; additional finance or customer‑service training is a plus.
