Customer Service Officer – Consumer Banking

About the role

The Customer Service Officer will join the Consumer Banking Group of a leading Asian bank, supporting customers across a full range of banking products. The role focuses on processing transactions, handling account inquiries, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and bank policies for transaction processing.
• Process cash, transfer, and clearing transactions, including cheques, demand drafts, dividend warrants, and pay orders within authorized limits.
• Handle new account opening requests and transaction updates, either jointly with an officer or independently when authorised.
• Respond to customer service inquiries such as account balances, transaction details, statements, and fee queries.
• Address customer queries and grievances within defined timelines and escalate when necessary.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of banking experience.
• Graduate degree, preferably in Banking or Commerce.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of internal and external banking regulations.
• Good computer knowledge.
