Culinary Chef Trainer (Mumbai)

About the role

Charcoal Eats is seeking a Culinary Chef Trainer to join its Mumbai kitchen. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will lead the training of kitchen staff, develop and standardise recipes, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation across our fast‑growing Indian QSR brand.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver training programmes for chefs, line cooks and kitchen assistants.
• Develop new recipes and refine existing ones to maintain taste, consistency and freshness.
• Create, implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food preparation and service.
• Oversee food safety and hygiene compliance in line with local regulations.
• Collaborate with the operations team to optimise kitchen workflow and efficiency.
• Mentor staff on‑the‑job, providing hands‑on guidance and performance feedback.
• Support menu innovation initiatives and contribute ideas for new product offerings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in recipe development, culinary training and kitchen operations, preferably within the QSR or hospitality sector.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Ability to develop and manage SOPs and ensure consistent execution.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills for effective mentorship.
• Team‑player attitude with strong problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
• Culinary certification or relevant professional qualifications are a plus.
