Controlling Specialist (m/f/d) – Global Capability Center

About the role

We are establishing a Global Capability Center in Hyderabad and are looking for a Controlling Specialist to support finance and compliance for our delivery organization. The role offers the chance to manage end‑to‑end finance responsibilities and contribute to BASF’s digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cost analysis, monitoring, reporting and budgeting for the assigned business area.
• Collaborate with the Finance Manager and provide actionable insights for business development.
• Deliver reliable financial information to support management decisions and strategic planning.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing, forecasting and budget planning.
• Lead automation and continuous‑improvement initiatives and improve reporting transparency.
• Monitor project cost accounting and ensure accurate tracking.
• Prepare and present clear reports to management and handle ad‑hoc analyses.
• Ensure compliance with BASF Group accounting and controlling guidelines and conduct stakeholder training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Controlling or Accounting.
• Several years of experience in business or controlling functions (preferred).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• High service orientation, proactive mindset and good communication skills in English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience using SAP BW and SAP CO/CI.
• Knowledge of PowerBI for reporting and data visualization.
