Controller - Exim

About the role

The Exim Controller will lead and manage import‑related compliance and documentation under the EPCG and Advance Authorisation schemes for Nayara Energy. This role ensures tax optimisation, regulatory adherence, and smooth movement of capital goods, raw materials, catalysts and chemicals across India.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day import activities and update import master data.
• Monitor customs clearance at ports and airports, ensuring proper receipt and distribution of Bills of Entry for GST credit.
• Process CHA bills, prepare demurrage approval notes and manage month‑wise Bills of Entry in the DMS.
• Coordinate final document collection for crude and coal imports and submit final assessments to Customs.
• Prepare and file NCCD refund applications.
• Gather data, documents and declarations for EPCG applications, liaising with the EXIM team, procurement, technical users and the tax team.
• Verify custom broker bills, obtain approvals for incidental charges and maintain MIS reports for import activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in import compliance, customs clearance and EXIM documentation.
• Familiarity with EPCG and Advance Authorisation schemes.
• Ability to coordinate with procurement, technical and tax teams.
• Strong attention to detail for tracking bills, refunds and demurrage approvals.
